"This activity is to enliven Christmas. Yes, of course, we have to respect each other, for those who celebrate it," he expressed.

He expressed his appreciation to officials, stakeholders, and residents of Jakarta who have worked together to support the implementation of a series of activities to celebrate this year's Christmas. Thus, it took place conducive, safe, and orderly.

Hopefully, this year's Christmas celebration could bring happiness, peace, and joy to the people of Jakarta, especially Christians.

The Christmas Carol activity in this public space was warmly welcomed by Jakarta residents, especially Christians. They enthusiastically watched and were entertained by listening to the melodious hums of the Christmas carolers.

They hoped that the Christmas Carol activity location could be added for next year's Christmas celebration.

Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Head, Andhika Permata explained that Christmas Carol in the public space is an appreciation or tribute to Christians who celebrate Christmas and is a platform for the Choir Community to express themselves in public spaces.

"Surely, it can be an interesting presentation in Jakarta's public spaces," he concluded.

As for the information, the Christmas Carol is performed by several choir groups from the arts and youth communities in Jakarta, namely the Jakarta Youth Choir, Unika Atmajaya, Y2K Studio, Shankara, and Kancatala. Each performer sings around 10-14 songs, which start at 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

As for a series of other Christmas celebration events this year in Jakarta, namely Jakarta Lights Festival on December 22, 2022 – January 5, 2023, at Taman Sumenep Promenade, Central Jakarta, and the Court of History Museum, Jakarta Kota Tua; Church Visit on December 24, 2022; as well as a Joint Christmas Celebration in Ancol on January 13, 2023, which is also attended by ASN and Jakarta BUMD employees.
